Bedford, NH – HomeSeer Technologies announces the release of its PRO-100 series-II second generation home automation controller. The series II unit now includes a faster processor, twice the memory, twice the storage and twice as many serial and LAN ports as the popular PRO-100 series-I unit released last year.

“With Series-II, we’ve essentially doubled the performance and capacity of the original PRO-100, while maintaining the same level of high reliability and low power consumption”, states Mark Colegrove, HomeSeer’s director of sales. PRO-100 Series-II units are designed to integrate and automate the many systems of today’s modern home such as lighting, appliances, security, HVAC and home theater.

Of particular note, PRO-100 controllers are the only units available that feature voice control, telephone integration and offer the widest selection of user interfaces available. “With the PRO-100, homeowners can interact with their homes in a way that’s most comfortable for them. The PRO-100 works with touchscreens, keypads, wireless remote controls, via voice recognition and remotely from any browser-based device. We even include a special interface for Microsoft’s Windows Media Center!” states Colegrove.

The PRO-100 is designed to work seamlessly with products from leading manufactures such as Lutron®, Intermatic®, Leviton®, Russound®, Cooper®, Monster Cable®, Microsoft®, Centralite®, Vantage®, DSC®, Aprilaire®, ACT and RCS (to name just a few). Support for the latest automation technologies such as Z-Wave, UPB and INSTEON is also included.

PRO-100 Series-II units will begin shipping in December 2006.
