Why HomeSeer?
"After trying several other programs it came down to one word - "Power!". Homeseer is very easy to use and with plug ins/scripting the possibilities are endless."

Favorite HomeSeer Feature:
"Custom Scripting, if it wasn't for the ease of adding in custom VB scripting half of what I do wouldn't be possible!"

HomeSeer Implementation I'm Most Proud of:
"Would have to be my whole house audio system. This is the most used aspect of Homeseer in my house."

Additional Technology:
PC Info:
IBM P4 2.4GHz, 1g Ram, Win XP
Lighting:
"All lighting is controlled with motion and daylight sensors. When we enter a room the lighting automatically comes on and when there is no motion for a set period of time, the lights go off. The system knows when to turn the lights on full, partially dimmed or not at all based on scripting set in the plug in, BLRadar."
HVAC:
"I don't use full house HVAC but I do have some events based on temp/humidity sensors in each room. Depending on the season Homeseer turns on/off window fans, air conditioners, humidifiers and heaters in each room using the data collected from the 1-wire devices."
Security:
"Using several cameras, motion sensors, door/window sensors and RFID Homeseer can sense if someone is on the grounds. Even if it's one of us that live here or not. Throughout the day/night Homeseer logs who calls on the telephone, whether someone rang a doorbell or even came on the property and takes video when certain conditions are met."
Audio:
"Each room has it's own set of speakers and separate volume controls. I also have outdoor speakers on the back porch. I have integrated a Yamaha receiver and XM Satellite radio with Homeseer and I also use the Media Player plug in. So now I can listen to my CD collection, over the air/internet radio stations, or XM Radio in any room of the house using touchscreens or by remote. I also utilized the system for whole house announcements: who is calling, someone is outside, email messages and more. I have integrated my XM Satellite radio with Homeseer and I also use the Media Player plug in. So now I can listen to my complete CD collection (over 4800 songs), over the air radio stations, or XM Radio in any room of the house using voice commands, touchscreens, or by remote."
