Why HomeSeer?
"My story is probably typical of many home automations'. I started experimenting with various software packages and came across AutoHome by Keware. What a surprise this was! A few years later and now known as HomeSeer, it continues to grow and expand to stay the leader of home automation software."

Favorite HomeSeer Feature:
"Versatility. That sums HomeSeer up in one word. There is no other home automation package available that can interface with more hardware, communicate with more software, or is flexible enough to be programmed to create a visible layer enabling a user to communicate with any device."

HomeSeer Implementation I'm Most Proud of:
"Muting the TV when phone calls arrive is a nice touch. Having the bathroom lights come on at a low dim level at night is my wife's favorite. But my favorite event is the 'Start-the-car' event where I use a solenoid to push the start button on my cars remote; that is my favorite!"

Additional Technology:
PC Info:
Home built 2.8 ghz 512mb ram
Lighting:
"Most all lights indoor and outdoor are controlled via HomeSeer and or motion sensors. I use KeyPad Lincs to offer local scene control as well as the ability to launch several events via HomeSeer such as my good night event, vacation event, start the car event, and many others. My main interface to HomeSeer is currently my 3 Laptop PC's and the Homeseer TouchPad interface."
HVAC:
" I use two(2) RCS TX15B bi-directional thermostats. Along with these are the typical morning time, day time, and night time events that adjust the thermostats set points throughout the day as well as the vacation thermostat mode."
Security:
"Napco gemini system"
Audio:
"The whole house audio system is a 100 watt Sony receiver that is controlled by occupancy. The unit controlled by an Ocelot IR unit and is driven by the Ocelot plug-in. Breaking news, incoming caller information, as well as incoming emails and the daily chore list are all spoken over the whole house system using the AT&T and NeoSpeech voices."
Comments:
Not only is HomeSeer the best home automation software package, providing nearly limitless expandability, It also has the best support bulletin board available on the web today! It can be used out of the box with limited or no programming abilities or it can be extensively built upon to create new plug-ins for nearly any hardware/software interface.  See the possibilities at http://RuppWorld.com
