Yes, I am a Trekie at heart,
but I think everyone has seen a Star
Trek episode where they have those small touchscreen props to
interact with their environment, or asking the computer do something
by voice. That is exactly what HomeSeer has done for me, BUT in the
real world.
With a wireless touchscreen, and just the touch of a finger, my entire
apartment can be controlled and accessed. Such as viewing TV
listings, controlling all of your audio video devices, controlling
lighting, ensuring the garage door has not been left open, (and if it
has, touch the screen to close it), checking the weather, adjusting
the temperature in the apartment., reviewing caller ID and checking
voice mail just to name a few. With HomeSeer's built in web server,
all of this can also be accessed remotely from any computer, either
in the house, or via the Internet from a remote location.
Add to that, the wow factor and complete control with voice by
simply saying "Decrease the lighting in the living room by 20%" or
"Play some dance music", and have those request carried out.
What has been hailed on many Star Trek series, that take place in
the distant future, is in all actuality here available today using
HomeSeer. |
