When calling externally, messages may be left depending on the voice mail system configured.
To set up the system to allow callers to simply leave a message, select the external_single.txt script in the Phone Setup screen.
The caller will be prompted with the greeting configured. The caller can leave a message and press "#" to save the message, or just hang up.
If you are calling in remotely, you can access the system by pressing the pound key (#) or star and the pound key (*#) while the greeting is playing.
To leave a message for another family member using an internal call (HomeSeer PCI Voice modem or Hi-Phone device required):
Pick up any in-house phone and press the pound key (#). You can leave a message in any mailbox by saying the mailbox name. For example, if you have a mailbox named "dad", you can say, "Leave a message for dad".
Your command will be repeated to you. If the wrong mailbox was recognized, press any key on the telephone keypad to abort the message recording and go back to the main menu.
You can leave a message in the default mailbox by saying, "Leave a message".
Messages may be deleted from the Answering Machine screen.
