Select from the drop-down menu the action HomeSeer is to take when someone calls into HomeSeer from outside the house.
Number of Rings Exceeded: Select this option to have HomeSeer answer after the number of rings specified in the Number of Rings to Answer After field, which appears when this option is selected.
Caller ID information normally arrives just before the second ring, so the number entered into the Number of Rings to Answer After field should not be less than two (2). Setting the value to less than two will cause a loss of Caller ID information.
Only Monitor for Caller-ID: HomeSeer won't answer any calls, but it will monitor calls for Caller ID information and trigger any events that are waiting for specific Caller ID information. Ring events will still be triggered.
Answer Immediately as Internal: HomeSeer will treat the call as an internal call. An internal call answers differently than an external call and gives the caller full access to the system without requiring him or her to enter a passcode. This option is useful if the phone line connected to the specified modem is used exclusively for internal calls.
Do Nothing: Select this option to have HomeSeer do nothing when the phone rings.
