SSL stands for Secure Socket Layer, and is a standard for encrypting information that is sent over the Internet. You can enable a second web server within HomeSeer, an SSL server, by enabling this feature. When you access the HomeSeer system via this server, it will be necessary for you to specify HTTPS in the URL instead of HTTP.
Because of the complexities usage issues associated with an SSL server, this feature has been enabled in all editions of HomeSeer 2, but support for the Standard Edition of HomeSeer 2 for this feature is provided by the HomeSeer Message Board Forum dedicated to this topic.
