Happy Nor'easter!
Those of you in warmer climates had reason to be thankful yesterday as the year's first major 'nor'easter' storm raced up the east coast. Predictions for snowfall in our area ranged from 10-15 inches. Fortunately for us, southern NH faired quite a bit better than our neighbors to the south and west; we only got about 6-8". Of course, winter is a long way from being over!

Update on HomeSeer v2.1 (HS2)

Our v2.1 beta is in the final stages of testing and should be released very soon. The new version is based on MS .NET 2.0, which is a significant improvement over .NET 1.1. Beta testers with advanced configurations have found the new version to be extremely stable! Look for the final release by the end of June.

New Lutron HomeWorks® and DSC Plug-ins COMING SOON!

Two new plug-ins are in testing now and will be released very soon. The first of these is designed to integrate Lutron HomeWork lighting with HomeSeer. HomeWorks is an advanced hard-wired lighting system used by professional installers. Plug-ins are also being developed for two other hard-wired systems from Centralite and Vantage.

The other plug-in currently under testing is our DSC security system plug-in. This new plug-in will integrate DSC's Power Series and MaxSys systems with HomeSeer.

PRO-100 Released!

Our new automation controller, the PRO-100, was released in mid-December! The new controller features embedded HomeSeer PRO software running under Windows XP embedded. The operating system is fully protected on a 'write-only' flash module and only essential drivers and services are installed. The unit has no moving parts for greater reliability and consumes only 15 watts in normal operation. It is the ONLY control of its type to include ALL of these features:

Built-in Web Server
Voice Recognition (VR)
Text-to-Speech (TTS)
Email Messaging
Telephone Messaging (with additional hardware)
Remote VR & TTS from Anywhere in the World!
